“It’s been my honor to know and work with Kelly Pettit for the last eighteen years. She has worked as a Firefighter and Paramedic for the Tahoe Douglas fire District since 1999. During that time, she has been a person to be counted upon in all types of emergency situations. She is dependable with a strong work ethic and completes all assignments on time and with superior quality.During her years with Tahoe Douglas Fire, she has been part of the EMS instruction cadre, teaching a wide variety of EMS subjects to the crews. She is also the department’s CPR instructor, teaching our annual re-certification classes for all district employees. The district receives many favorable comments from the public CPR class recipients regarding her professionalism, knowledge and her positive demeanor. She has continued to be instrumental in the community’s AED distribution and training. Recently, she has begun working with the Douglas County Mobile Outreach Safety Team (MOST) program which identifies at-risk citizens with behavioral health problems and works to ensure that they receive any required assistance.”
“I was particularly impressed by Kelly’s ability to handle even the toughest of clients - effortlessly. That skill often takes years to develop among customer service professionals, but it seemed to come perfectly naturally to her.”
“Kelly presents the information in a very understandable manner and does hands-on training. All members comment that she is the best instructor they have experienced and they have learned more from her than any other instructor and class. I would recommend Kelly as the best in her field.”
“Kelly is an amazing teacher. She is engaged and excited about the subjects that she teaches. She is easily approachable and genuinely wants to help and see her students understand and succeed. She presents material in a coherent and easily absorbed fashion and I absolutely lover her as my teacher.”
“” I have had multiple opportunities to work with Kelly, both in the EMT program and also as a student in her First Aid and CPR/AED class. The training she provided in both settings was top notch. If you are thinking of becoming First Aid or CPR/AED certified, I would recommend her course. And, if you are deciding to pursue a career in the emergency medical field, Kelly is an excellent resource to have for both advice and training.””
