“It’s been my honor to know and work with Kelly Pettit for the last eighteen years. She has worked as a Firefighter and Paramedic for the Tahoe Douglas fire District since 1999. During that time, she has been a person to be counted upon in all types of emergency situations. She is dependable with a strong work ethic and completes all assignments on time and with superior quality.
During her years with Tahoe Douglas Fire, she has been part of the EMS instruction cadre, teaching a wide variety of EMS subjects to the crews. She is also the department’s CPR instructor, teaching our annual re-certification classes for all district employees. The district receives many favorable comments from the public CPR class recipients regarding her professionalism, knowledge and her positive demeanor. She has continued to be instrumental in the community’s AED distribution and training.
Recently, she has begun working with the Douglas County Mobile Outreach Safety Team (MOST) program which identifies at-risk citizens with behavioral health problems and works to ensure that they receive any required assistance. ”
